RCOTA has given everyone an added benefit!

 RCOE is monitoring e-mail and it is not advisable to have any personal information on your school email.  Feel free to give out your union account to any friends, family, and personal businesses.

  • We have created a free email address for you at the RCOTA website.
  • Your address is your first initial and your last name(s) as listed on your check stub.  @rcota.us
  • In order to access the email account you simply put  into your  http://rcota.us/webmail   browser bar(cut and past or open in a link)
  • (I suggest you make it a favorite or bookmark for future ease of use.)
  • User name First initial and last name   ALL LOWER CASE
  • Everyone has the password pass (also lower case) until you log in and change it.
  • Once logged in you will see options for changing your password.

This address can be used for any personal mail you wish, we just need to have email for all our members to communicate the important issues teachers are facing today.  If you already have an email that you would like the email forwarded so you do not have to check yet another email account contact the webmaster@rcota.us  or me directly  (atenneriello@rcota.us)  and give the forwarded email and password so I can enable forwarding.  After the email forwarding is set you can change the password. Confidentiality is part of my responsibility, once forwarded I will delete the original email.

Teachers must have a duty free lunch daily?      It is not happening in many areas. 
If you feel that your contract is not being honored you may see any grievance  representative to find out if there is presidence.
We are still in negotiations for this years contract,   attending meetings is the best way to keep informed.

RCOTA’s Mission

Welcome friends and collegues,

RCOTA has a mission to support  the members of the bargaining unit.  The Board has made the commitment to ensure fair and reasonable treatment  of union members by and with administration.  We are an organization dedicated to the profession of  teaching and educaation.  

The primary purpose of the Association shall be:

1.  To represent its members in their relation with their employer, and to seek to be the exclusive representative of appropriate units of school employees in all matters relating to employment conditions and employer-employee relations including, but not limited to, wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment;

2.  To form a representative body capable of developing group opinion on professional matters to speak with authority for teachers;

3.  To provide an opportunity for continuous study and action on problems of the profession;

4.  To promote professional attitudes and ethical conduct among members;

5.  To encourage cooperation and communication between profession and community; and

6.  To foster good fellowship among members.
